A short while back, I explained how one would go about connecting a PC to a TV. I recently discovered the wireless solution. I’m going to go ahead and admit that I had never heard of this product until about a week ago. Then again, neither had anyone I spoke with when I had questions about connecting a PC to my TV. If it was common knowledge, then they were keeping it to themselves. I randomly stumbled upon the EZAIR Wireless site one day while looking for Internet TV channels. Although I do not currently own one, I do feel that this item is worth mentioning, as it looks very straight forward in it’s advertisement and reviews I read.
The product consists of a USB port adapter, and a AV adapter which connects to the HDTV using a HDMI cable. The range is up to 30 feet, and it works the best if it the two antenna’s are in line with one another. The setup is a little more involved than just plugging in and playing, as Khalid Hosein mentions in his review for Gizmos for Geeks. The EZAIR Wireless is currently selling for $96.00 and it comes with free shipping. I searched Amazon.com as I always do, but did not find the product listed. Instead I found other products of the same concept such as, Cables Unlimited Wireless, and Warpia Wireless, both selling for right around $120. The EZAIR Wireless PC to TV system solves a lot of the connectivity issues that one might experience. One big perk is that the Av adapter connects using a HDMI cable, which includes both audio and video connections all in one. The HDMI cable is also included when you purchase EZAIR Wireless. There is also an option that allows you to watch video streamed from your PC, while still being able to use the PC for other tasks. Overall it appears to be a beneficial product, at a reasonable price. I would consider purchasing the product myself, but I already have my PC connected to my TV. It would be nice to get rid of all of the wires though.
